Since the hurricane ripped through Southeast Texas on Thursday, I have been out of power. I borrowed a generator from a friend, so I have limited power for now. Well, I am home in Texas after being in Iraq for 44 straight months. I departed Mosul on the morning of the 12th of July. I had about a 6 hour layover in Baghdad, then flew to Dubai, U.A.E., where I had about a 4 hour layover. My flight from Dubai was a direct flight to Atlanta that lasted a little over 15 hours. Right now, as I type this, it is snowing in Mosul Iraq. I started around 7AM local time (10PM Central Standard) and hasn't quit yet, that's 5 hours of snow. Perhaps I have been over here to long. I got here to Iraq in November of 2003 and have been here ever since, minus a few R&R's that I went home for. This is my baby, an 1986 GMC (the front clip is from a 1991 GMC) K3500 4X4. As it sits in this photo it has a 12" suspension lift, and 38.5" Mickey Thompson Baja Claws mud tires on it.
